for the versions, sure this was just showing the mechanics, not the final PR, certainly I planned to unify the data from mvn.
For the spi registration and whatnot, I'm not clear, there's no additional work besides what's in this PR for it to work. Perhaps you can clarify which parts you mean about static analysis?
