There are 2 outstanding issues to address before this PR can be merged in: 1. Removing the "archival reference section" requested by davebarnes97. All reviewers, please speak up if you object to removing the older version of the section permanently and completely. 2. I talked with several Geode committers, and the material on using Geode as a "last resource" in JTA transactions is still relevant. Therefore, it needs to be added back in, but probably revised/updated.
Other issues that have been discussed, but require no revision to this PR: - I am not adding material on the transaction API methods of suspend() and resume(). They are not intended for mainstream usage. The javadocs are good enough for anyone who choses to use them, but by leaving them out of these docs, we will not be encouraging developers to use them.
