Beyond getting the build to pass, what else would you like to see on this initial integration? As a last matter, I'm interested in preserving the _committer_ field for the applied patches (rather than showing me as the committer). maybe it's a bit esoteric but scripts exist to cherry pick commits while preserving both author and committer: https://github.com/dingram/git-scripts/blob/master/scripts/git-cherry-pick-with-committer. So I might just write a Python script to run "rebase" those commits by cherry picking one by one
