Thank you @hequn8128 and @dawidwys. I found severe problems how escaping was introduced in FLINK-8301. This should not have been merged without an additional committer looking at it. With my new commits I hope that I could address all problems with escaping in Table API, SQL API, and SQL Client. Please take another look.
