@kipkuch Hi there, I can't reproduce this on my Win 7 Professional SP1 laptop.
Did you previously have another version of CouchDB installed first? Did you completely remove that version if so? Did you install CouchDB to a path **without** spaces, such as `C:\CouchDB`? The installer warns that CouchDB won't work right if you install to a path with spaces such as `C:\Program Files\CouchDB`.
