@nickva my reasoning is that we are making a config change which we are "super confident" about and adding to it a new functional change to make it work. This kind of muddies the message, if you see what I'm saying.
I'm looking at that `start_servers` in init and it _seems_ to me it should work fine, but been right from vacation I feel rusty and in general wary about sync calls in init. On the other hand Travis just came out green, so I have nothing to say against it.
