@mbrookhart Normally a design doc precedes a featured PR. Since this PR does not have a design doc, taking just one CNN for example, you can write a tutorial explaining the motivation and advantages of using ngraph as a backend of MXNet. It doesn't have to come together with this PR, but would be better for users to see one in [page](http://mxnet.incubator.apache.org/tutorials/index.html).
