it's similar as my script for iop solr mpack: https://github.com/hortonworks/iop-solr-stack/blob/master/src/main/scripts/migration_helper.py maybe on long term we should have a common way for upgrading/migrating services ... that part which save specific hosts and configs and use them somehow
