@rajinisivaram Agreed. The tests failures in the JDK 8 build appeared when I "fixed" the ExpiredConnectionsKilledCount metric. I'm going to comment out that metric to see if the failures go away. Unfortunately this is a long turnaround cycle -- a couple of hours -- but it's the best I can do given that I can't reproduce the issue locally under JDK 1.8.
