I think post 3.0.4 the driver doesn’t block on executeAsync() when the internal queues are full. It throws an exception instead that it is full. Thus, as the latest driver version is 3.6.0, users can easily be using a newer version of the driver that will fail fast instead of blocking for backpressure.
