Hi Vincent, I have implemented distributed search using the few classes(API's) provided by lucene. So I have modified the existing lucene plugin directory itself.
I mean, I have made few changes to existing lucene plugin source files and added few more files to the existing lucene plugin source. The chages were made in such a way that the new features for distributed search can be either switched on/off by providing an option in xwiki.cfg Therefore we will have to just replace the existing lucene plugin(dir) with the new lucene plugin (dir) that was committed to sandbox. In addition to the lucene plugin I have made changes to XWiki.Results page and xwiki.cfg.vm -- Sai Krishna.
