I solved this for our platform, instead, by changing the plugin version.

        <artifactId>maven-googlewebtoolkit2-plugin</artifactId>
        <version>2.0-beta22</version>

didn't really notice a difference aside of that.

is only accessible in the maven-1 repository structure.
Well, to cut a long story short the question is: How can I resolve this
specific artifact?
