I like the Gmail-like idea too and it would indeed be a cool addition.

Another interesting thing to do would be to let the user export any wiki
page in the Office format of his / her choice. Instead of uploading a
document, why not simply export an existing wiki page?

If that's can be done it could be useful, I think many people would like to
be able to export wiki pages in the .doc or .odt format.
