Ah, I see now - you mean rendering formulas to PNG, SVG, etc. And there's no problem at all with that. Rendering to images could be easily implemented - it's a matter of several hours of work (or even several minutes). The only thing that is needed is a GWT library for image rendering, or a Java library if you want to render images on the server side.
