Hi Sergiu, For me this issue http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-7301 is a blocker. it was discussed a while ago but no decision was made.
I believe we need to revert the default behavior of using the context of the "including" document for rendering the link. I'm +0 for an additional parameter to have the rendering use the context of the "included" document. This should be the same for images rendering in case it is not. This is really important for backward compatibility.
