Yes, that's exactly why I've focused on page-object creation in the
extension I've developed.

Yes, the modal popup is exactly my vision. It does not show on the
screenshots I've provided, because I haven't added the small JS magic
to implement it yet (I've first implemented the fallback when
JavaScript is not available) - but that's my plan. The idea is to be
able to create a new structured page without a page load.
