One issue: there's no notion of nested macros. Each macro is responsible for its content and it's a black box for anyone else. What we discussed in the past is to add the ability to register special editors for macros and use that editor for editing the macro's content. The Macro descriptor would allow providing a hint which would correspond to a specific Macro Content Editor and if none is specified default to the default editor. For example Macros having wiki content could use the hint "wiki".
