Hi, So this proposal is about implementing the 'AppBar' by using PanelClass objects to represent AppBar entries (it was Var C from the initial proposal http://design.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Proposal/AppBar#HVarC ). 'AppBar' will not be a new functionality, but it will be the 'LeftPanels' column using 'small width' panels (the panel's width is a new concept). Applications developers should provide a 'small width' panel for their application in order to be added to the LeftPanels column.
I think this solution is easier integrable with what we currently have (Panel Wizard) and the users will have a consistent way of customizing the panels.
