And my point is that you are only talking about standard XE with a
single wiki and nothing special in it :)

The scheduler used to block the initialization of XWiki class to load
several documents and execute several other queries on all the
existing wikis and I can assure you that this was taking ages, the
scale was not seconds. On something like myxwiki.org not blocking that
thread anymore on that is quite a init speed improvement.
