Hi, You are free to use jQuery in XWiki [1], any other javascript library or even standard javascript code.
For jQuery, there are tons of tutorials online on how to use a REST service, like this [2] first result on a quick search or this [3] one (just scanned them quickly, they will probably do). More documentation on the official site [4]. Besides how to access XWiki Enterprise's default bundled jQuery library, your task/question is not really about XWiki, but about javascript and web development in general. Hope this helps, Eduard ---------- [1] http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/JavaScriptAPI#HRequireJSandjQueryAPIs [2] https://spring.io/guides/gs/consuming-rest-jquery/ [3] http://www.lm-tech.it/Blog/post/2013/05/08/How-to-consume-a-RESTful-service-using-jQuery.aspx [4] http://api.jquery.com/category/ajax/ On Mon, Sep 7, 2015 at 9:41 AM, PATEL, ABDULKADAR < [email protected]> wrote: > Hi all, > > I am novice in xwiki customization. > I need to develop a plugin which will call external REST web service of > another application. > Please help me in achieving this. > I have created a popup modal widget where on click of submit I need to > call this web service. > > > Thanks & Regards, > ____________________________________________________________________ > [cid:[email protected]]Abdulkadar Patel > Consultant | GESBU > > Capgemini India | Pune > Tel.: +91 20 6631 1755 - Extn: 20 12530 > Mob.: + 91 8087683419 > Email: [email protected]<mailto: > [email protected]> > www.capgemini.com<http://www.capgemini.com/> > People matter, results count. > _______________________________________________________________________ > 7 Switch off as you go |q Recycle always | P Print only if absolutely > necessary > > > _______________________________________________ > devs mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/devs > > _______________________________________________ devs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/devs
