Great idea indeed :-) I just reviewed it and I found only one thing to add. There might also be the notion of "Flavor", but it's not in the product yet (and it's a bit like templates anyway).
I think it's already good enough to go in the main documentation... This is a question I often get from users, it will be nice to be able to point them to this page.
