The names should either focus on: 1) the actual graphic of the icon, and the theme's job would be to offer the same (type of) resource but with a different styling OR 2) the purpose of the icon will serve when it will be used, so the theme's job is to offer visual consistency where for the same action you have the same style/icons Not sure what we are doing right now, but personally I prefer option 2) since it`s not just about getting a "pencil" from the current icon theme, but it`s more valuable since it allows you to get *the* icon for *the* edit action. It basically eliminates the need to worry if you will use a pencil, a feather, a pen, etc. Plus, as mentioned, you will be consistent with other apps/UI.
