Hi,
Back in 2008 I added script /usr/share/svn-buildpackage/contrib/dpkg-getbdeps
to svn-buildpackage as a consequence of bug #506965.

As I said in that BR, the more appropriate place for the script would have been
the devscripts package.
The script tries to install the build deps based on debian/control file of the
source package from which the command is ran.
The script is trivial, but really useful:

Of course, moving it from svn-buildpackage to devscripts would need some
coordination, hence the report against both packages.
