This all comes down to the following message:
https://github.com/openshift/origin/blob/c21a4709fd612345e6a732874a3ccd2cbaf1eaa6/docs/cluster_up_down.md#installing-the-service-catalog

We had seen several issues when deploying OpenShift with Service Catalog.
So we had to decide, include it or not. We eventually decided to include
it, but had to find a way to easily indicate that things might break or not
work as expected. Hopefully, over time, the flag can be promoted to general
use by removing this restriction.
Feedback and keeping us up-to-date can surely help with this...

Did service catalog deploy and work as expected?
