Hi!

We don't often use DFC-L to push commercial stuff, but this seemed unusual and worthy of your consideration. Tim Berra is an old buddy from ASIH - an emeritus ichthyology prof. from Ohio State. Inasmuch as most of what DFC does is related to evolution, Darwin bobbleheads don't seem too far out of order, although getting and displaying one may increase your chances of having some fundamentalist/creationist let the air out of your tires. Somehow being a martyr for the cause seems almost holy!!

Phil,

How are you doing?  Missed you at Ichs & Herps in New Orleans.

I had the pleasure of being the Darwin Day speaker at Southern Illinois University last February.  To raise money for future Darwin Days, SIU has produced a fantastic Darwin bobblehead.  (I was asked to consult on his eye color--blue grey.)  You can see and purchase a Darwin bobblehead at their web site http://www.science.siu.edu/zoology/darwin. These little guys are very cool!  They are not made of cheap plastic or plaster. Darwin weighs over 1 lbs. and stands 7.5 in. tall.  Cost is $23 including shipping.

These bobbleheads make great gifts.  Please circulate this to your friends far and wide.

Cheers,
Tim
