It figures I would screw up the debut of this thing. Somehow the "l" got chopped off the end of the link I provided. It is corrected below in the original message:
I would like to announce the grand opening of the Bureau of Reclamation Phoenix Area Office's new native fish website at: http://www.usbr.gov/lc/phoenix/biology/azfish/aznativefish.html. Literally years in the making (a lot of bureaucracy!), the site now primarily deals with native fishes of the Gila River basin, but in the future will expand to all native aquatics of the Gila and Little Colorado river basins, including reptiles and amphibians. This site is the depository of the many technical reports generated by the Gila River Basin Native Fish Restoration Program (aka Fund Transfer Program) that until now has remained relatively inconspicuous. It includes major sections on the Program's fish barriers, monitoring, native fish conservation and non-native fish control programs, and information and education. Much of the text is written toward a less-technical audience, but its major value for most of you should be its access to reports and related information. There are still a few relatively minor bugs to fix (such as viewing video clips) that hopefully will be resolved in the next week or so. I hope you find it useful. Please don't hesitate to contact me with your comments and suggestions to improve it. I apologize for cross-postings. Rob Robert W.
