Good morning,

The abstract database now includes presentation times (http:// www.npl.utexas.edu/sponsored_sites/dfc/meetings/ dfc_abstracts_program.asp).

This year we will be gathering all powerpoint presentations on site at the time of registration. See http://desertfishes.org/meetings/ ppt_instructions.html for instructions. They are pretty simple. Remember to name the file with the first author's last name and save as a Powerpoint Show (pps).

In the interest of keeping file sizes small and reducing slide show delays, please check your file size and reduce as much as possible. See http://desertfishes.org/meetings/ppt_instructions.html and http:// office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/HA011168821033.aspx? pid=CL100626991033 for suggestions.

Macintosh users with Powerpoint should have no compatibility issues, and users of Keynote should be able to export/save files as a Powerpoint for their presentations.

Presenters should bring the ppt or pps files on a flashdrive or CD to Ventura and ensure that you get it on the symposium computer at check in. We'll be set up at the registration desk.

If you have any questions drop me an email.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Ventura,

- Stewart
