Hi DFCers, Dean and I send our regards from Cuatrociénegas, where we have just finalized much of the planning for the November meeting and are pleased to now announce availability of the first version of the meeting announcement at http://desertfishes.org/meetings/2008/call_2008.html. We hope everyone who came in 2005 will return and that many new visitors will take this opportunity to come to know this amazing place and the brand new, bigger and much better DFC-sponsored Research Station (http://desertfishes.org/cuatroc/estacion/CICCC.html- recently updated). This year's meeting promises to be even better than 2005. We're excited, the town is excited, and there are lots of special events in the works to welcome everyone back with open arms. And, as you will see in the announcement, we're (er, I mean Nathan ;)) is again organizing van pools to help get you here. The announcement will evolve as more details are worked out, so check the website regularly, and watch for updates to be sent via DFC-L.
Don't miss this one! Mark your calendars and get your travel authorization requests filed! Thanks, Cristina and Dean -- M.C. Cristina E.
