Dear All,
I felt privileged to have an opportunity to sit down and discuss the Dhamma with Chief Rev. Dr K Sri Dhammananda recently. I am sure all of you have heard about him.
Yesterday, a US nun ( also Assoc Prof at US University) asked him where the Buddha is........
I tried to answer.......inside our heart.......
Chief Rev just smiled at me.......then he said the Buddha is in the Dhamma
The US Nun smiled and bowed to Chief Rev.....gesturing respect to a great answer.
It is absolutely true that the Buddha is in the Dhamma......
I sat down, trying to contemplate the meaning behind this great answer.
We need to meditate....to eradicate our mental defilements ( anger, hatred, jealousy, pride, ignorant, delusion)
Perhaps......we would gain wisdom , the ultimate purpose......
