I tried to overlap them as when a machine comes up for the first time,
the Linux kernel bootps for an address. Shorty afterwards the SAME
workstation boots into WinNT (after copying a disk image over the network)
and dhcps for an address.
What was happening was dhcp clients were getting served addresses out
of the bootp range, I presume because the host is first seen as a bootp
host.
Im not sure if there was a problem with this or not, but I did see some
odd effects that were probably due to the 'cloned' NT workstations first
trying to get the address the 'master' machine used, then being served
via dhcp the address the host first got via bootp running Linux.
