You can use the syslog facility which would give you just that, ie.
in your syslog.conf file put something like

daemon.info     /var/log/daemon

and you'll find in /var/log/daemon lines like

Mar 22 06:56:59 dsun3.sema.de dhcpd: BOOTREQUEST from 08:00:4e:42:03:24 via
le0
