Is it possible to have dhcpd call an external script when it has issued
an IP address (a bit like how dhcpcd can execute a script using the -c
option when it receives an address) ?
I understand there is a patch which incorporates the nsupdate code
into dhcp so it auto-updates DNS, but what I require is for dhcpd to
execute a remote script and pass the MAC address and IP address as
parameters. The separate script could then lookup what hostname it
should associate with the MAC address and use nsupdate to create the
correct public DNS accordingly.
Regards,
Dom.
