The DHCP server has no idea what a host name is. It's basing it's decision to
serve an address in answer to a request based soley on MAC address. If you
specify "deny unknown-clients" then the server is assuming you are going to
tell it which are the "known" clients. You do this by specifying the MAC
addresses of the hosts you want to be "known". If you don't, then the server
doesn't really know about any hosts, and therefore will not serve an IP
address out to any request.
So, for each host you want to be "known" add a MAC address to your config:
subnet 207.135.151.128 netmask 255.255.255.192 {
# Common Parameters
range 207.135.151.143 207.135.151.190;
deny unknown-clients;
default-lease-time 25200;
max-lease-time 25200;
option broadcast-address 207.135.151.191;
option domain-name "streaminfo.com";
# Internet Access
group {
option routers 207.135.151.129;
host thinkpad1{00:11:22:33:44:55}
host notebook{11:22:33:44:55:66}
}
# No Internet
group {
host CDR{22:33:44:55:66:77}
}
}
Obviously you'll need to use real MAC addresses.
Hope this helps!

Please reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The corp sendmail people insist on
rewriting outgoing mail (including Reply-to: headers!) to send to
'@nortelnetworks.com' which we keep telling them is quite broken, but they
don't listen :)
I've been bought, sold, and now given away :)
LanCity->Bay Networks->Nortel->Arris
If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!
