In response to Glenn Satchell

Thank you.
It fixed the problem. I deleted the pid file, and started the isc again and
now it works fine.

My best regards

If there is no dhcpd process then can you delete that leftover pid file
and try starting dhcpd?

Or is the pid file left when dhcpd fails?

For future reference, you should be able to run:

% sudo lsof -n -P | fgrep :67

To detect whether any DHCP server is running at all (including dnsmasq, etc).

Rebooting should have cleaned up the PID file.

Hi,

Does anyone know how to build isc-dhcp such that we can pass in options to
bind//bind-x.y.z/configure?

For instance, what if I want to add --disable-backtrace to BINDCONFIG?

I'm running into issues with MUSL on ARM 32-bit platforms not having
Unwind_GetIP()...

Thanks
