Besides, when we were using bind-9.11.36-8 version in centos8, building this package with spec file, used to also generate other supporting packages (like bind-export-libs etc). However, with this new bind version 9.16.23-15, the bind exports is disabled and not been generated on building in a bind. Is there any reason to move out the bind-export-libs package from the bind package. ? As i don't see below entries in bind.spec file of version 9.16.23-15. %if %{with EXPORT_LIBS} %package export-libs Summary: ISC libs for DHCP application %if 0%{?fedora} >= 1 Obsoletes: bind99-libs < 9.9.11-4 Provides: bind99-libs = 9.9.11-4 # This subpackage will not use shared license, but distribute its own %endif Thanks in advance. Export libraries have not been supported in BIND for more than 2 years. Please see this issue in Gitlab: https://gitlab.isc.org/isc-projects/bind9/-/issues/88? Make all BIND libraries private (#88) ? Issues ? ISC Open Source Projects / BIND ? GitLab gitlab.isc.org For DNS code, please consider skipping BIND version 9.16, which is now end-of-support, and going to version 9.18, which is the current ESV release. For DHCP code, please also consider moving from ISC DHCP, which is end-of-life, to Kea.
