I?m having issues compiling with newer, stricter compilers. In this case
gcc-14.3.0. Are there patches for this?

Here?s what I came up with. I?d rather have fixed the prototypes that enabled
-Wno-old-style but it?s only worth doing if the patch was potentially going to
be accepted upstream, but that seems unlikely.
