DHIS users,

I have confirmed that my problem with overly slow excel files is due to
queries set up to link DHIS to pivot tables. This affected all excel
files running on my computer whether or not they were pivot tables.

Several hours after I experienced these massive delays the following
message appeared on my computer when I opened an excel file:

"Repairs were made to Query Table 'dhis2sierra indicator' on '[excel
file name] Indicators'".

These automatic repairs appear to have solved the problem. It is quite
strange that such repairs were necessary since the excel file that was
running should not have had any query associated with it.

In case this quite disabling problem recurs, I am wondering how I can
disable or delete any .odc or .dqy file that might be inappropriately
associated with an excel file and slowing it down.

Thanks, Bob

Subject: DHIS / pivot tables slow down my excel files

Hi folks,

I am pretty sure that it is DHIS and the linked pivot tables which are
slowly down tremendously my access to any excel file. I have to wait
minutes for the files to load or even to switch between spreadsheets of
a workbook or to make modifications. This problem seemed to disappear
when DHIS was temporarily erased then reappeared when DHIS was
reinstalled. Any thoughts on what could be going on and what to do
about it?

Regards, Bob
