Hi, I'm sorry but I don't know that much about JAXB. I can only say that the fact that we already have defined a schema and the need for backwards-compatibility seem to necessitate and justify a decoupling between xml parsing and the object model. And another point is that we should try to wrap this up as soon as possible... Integration is needed and there are lots of other issues we need to take on... Lars
