Thanks Lasrs and Jason for clarifying us about mathematical operator "D"
while creating indicators in DHIS2. I think DHIS2 user manuals should be
updated and should include info and usability about it.

No, that is not my understanding of how it works. "D" will always return the
number of days in the period of interest. So, if you are looking at financial
yearly data, "D" would be 365 (approximately depending on whether it is a leap
year,etc) and if you are looking at monthly data, "D" would be the number of
days in the month which you are interested in (approximately 30). For quarters,
it would be approximately 90 (depending on the quarter). If you are aggregating
to financial yearly, the the "Number of days equipment working" would be the
sum of all the data values which fall within that period, i.e. the sum of 12
monthly periods if it is reported on a monthly frequency and "D" would be as
stated before, approximately 365. It all depends on what frequency you are
aggregating to.
Maybe someone else can explain it better, but that is my understanding of how
this works.
