Deprecated method in Period object

Fix Committed
Bug description:
Constructor public Period( String externalId ) is marked as depricated
but is widely used by other methods calling public Period
getPeriodByExternalId( String externalId ). If this constructor is
deprecated alternative constructor/method should be implemented.
