Hey Guttorm, We have found this issue before. Are you running on 2.16? This issue should be fixed in 2.17. The searchbox in android should be disabled form then on.
If you desperately need it and can’t wait till 2.17 (Which should hopefully be soon) let me know then i will backport it.
