I'm trying to set up a new instance of DHIS on AWS and I thought I would use the latest Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Initial problems with Oracle Java JRE 6 seems to have been deprecated. Now the choice is openJDK or JRE 7.
Question: Should I give up on Ubuntu 12.04 and go back to 10.10 or another earlier version? Anyone recommendations on which JRE version? Is Oracle JRE 6 required or will other Java versions work?
