Hi Rae, The data are saved regardless, but clicking the button allows you to indicate that you are indeed done filling in data, even though it might look as though some data are missing - because you actually have nothing to report. This is also related to the question of whether to require people to report zero (0) - and whether that is significantly different from not reporting anything (NULL).
Others can complete the picture.
