hmmm. I guess a key symbol and some kind of symbol representing encryption will be helpful.

No idea whatsoever but if you can provide examples and file a bug report
then we can try and make Dia shapes based on flat graphics you can
provide.

I wonder how one would even graphically represent a MD5 checksum?
