I admit I have not checked any authorative sources yet (I'll probably
ask on the usability mailing list) but you will have to if you want to
convince me because others agree with me.

you just dont see plurars in menus very often.

Not an idea I'd go for.
Some applications have Game instead of File but applictions that do this
are very rare.

that was what I was suggesting, the gist of it can be seen in the menus.c
file I linked to

I think it was sodipodi that tried something like that.
It is not something I'd go for either.

The changes you suggest seem quite a bit more dramatic than the ones I am
planning, I may reevalute them later.
