One trick you can use here is to create the class, then create a straight line, attach the two ends of the straight line to two corners of the class. Then if you CTRL-click (or middle mouse button I believe), you can add as many connection points as you like.
Of course, if you were using these diagrams to generate code or something it probably would be broken because you are now making connections to the line and not the class object, but it does allow you to not make connections at the corners.
