Yes, it would be great for that tiny subset of GAIM users who need to
chat math frequently. (Of course, it requires both ends to run GAIM).
This is clearly an example of a hacker scratching his personal itch,
and then releasing it to the public.
I just laughed because the applications that often drive technology
are the least 'serious'. (A few of the plugins were for blog
software, if you blog with math, it would probably dictate the blog
software you use).
I suppose if there was a LaTeX plugin for porn, it would take off like
gangbusters.
