Of course, right after pre6 came out, a new fairly serious crash bug was found: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414708 Thus there will be a pre7 once that is fixed. I urge all prerelease testers to take a look at that bug. It nicely shows the difference between a stack trace and a way of reproducing the bug. With a stack trace, we can make a guess at what may have gone wrong, but there's no way we can check if we fix it. Once we have a way to reproduce, we can dig in with gdb, find out all the details, and we will be able to check if our fix works. Bottom line: When reporting a bug, a simple, consistent way to reproduce it is worth a thousand stack traces. -Lars _______________________________________________ Dia-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dia-list FAQ at http://live.gnome.org/Dia/Faq Main page at http://live.gnome.org/Dia
