I use Dia in conjunction with Inkscape and Gimp to produce the various forms of output I need. I will make a screen dump and import that in to which ever program is most appropriate.
Of course this limits me to only what I can get on screen, but that is mostly good enough. Ultimately, I find output from Dia, other than a screen dump, to be more time consuming than I like. Even printing is uncertain enough that I usually move the diagram into some other program for the final output, Word, Open Office, Solidworks, Komposer, etc. Mike On Thu, Apr 2, 2009 at 11:12 AM, Richard Moll <[email protected]>wrote: > Hello, > I would like to export some of my Dia diagrams as .png's to include them in > a OOo Impress presentation. > > When exporting via GUI no resolution can be set (here on WinXP with > v0.97-pre2) and the default (?) resolution ~400x180 is way too "pixelig". > In the help I found the command line syntax, which unfortunately doesn't > work either: > C:\...>dia --export=test.png --size=600x --filter=png test.dia > Notice: User Interface type settings change will take after restart > > ** (dia.exe:2948): WARNING **: --size parameter unsupported for cairo-png > filter > test.dia --> test.png > > > So is there a way to change the resolution or any other convenient way to > import the diagrams into OOo? > > > TIA > Richard > > > _______________________________________________ > dia-list mailing list > [email protected] > http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dia-list > FAQ at http://live.gnome.org/Dia/Faq > Main page at http://live.gnome.org/Dia > > -- Michael E.
