Hello, All of the following were noticed on Dia 0.97.1 on Vista SP2.
---- Summary: issue (& enhancement requests) with closing all open files If all open files are closed (by clicking the X on the tab for each file), the name of one of the files stays in the Dia window titlebar. Issue: At a minimum, the titlebar should change to something like "No open file." Enhancement request: At this point, a blank "Diagram1" should be automatically made for the user. Some text editors do this. Enhancement request (assuming the previous enhancement is made): If the user opens a file at this point, the file that was opened by the user should replace the automatically generated "Diagram1." Dia does this on startup. ---- On startup, Dia should maximize its window if the window was maximized the last time Dia was shut down. Instead, Dia opens with approximately the position and size of a maximized window, but it is not actually maximized. ---- Summary: Toolbox header might not reflect the selected sheet 1. Make sure there is blank space in the toolbox below the bottommost shape icon. That is, make sure the selected sheet has few enough shapes, and the Dia window is tall enough. 2. Click the sheets menu in the toolbox (to open the sheets menu). 3. Mouse over "Other sheets" so the submenu appears. 4. Mouse over the submenu. 5. Click in the blank space at the bottom of the toolbox, to close the menu. 6. Issue: The sheets menu (the toolbox header) still says "Other sheets." Instead, it should show the name of the sheet whose shapes are visible in the toolbox. ---- File > Preferences > Diagram Defaults should use radio buttons (instead of a checkbox) for portrait/landscape (so the user doesn't have to think "if I want landscape, I must leave 'Portrait' unchecked") On File > Preferences > User Interface, preferably reword "Reverse dragging" to "Right-to-left dragging," which would be clearer ---- Feature request: middle-mouse-button click in diagram (as opposed to dragging the middle mouse button) can do the same as if the user had selected View > Best Fit with nothing selected, that is, zoom so that all drawn objects fit within the drawing window ---- Thanks in advance for looking at these issues & requests. _______________________________________________ dia-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dia-list FAQ at http://live.gnome.org/Dia/Faq Main page at http://live.gnome.org/Dia
